Missing Non-Verbal Man Last Seen At Smithsonian Museum

Samly Keosiphanseang is 34 years old, but functions at a level of an 8-year-old, and is considered non-verbal. He was last seen in DC.

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are searching for a non-verbal man missing from Silver Spring. Samly Keosiphanseang is 34 years old, but functions at a level of an 8-year-old, and is considered non-verbal, police said.

At about 1:30 p.m. Monday, he was visiting the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum located at 600 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, D.C. During the visit, Keosiphanseang became separated from his chaperone. Family has not been able to contact him since that time, police said.

Police describe Keosiphanseang as an Asian male who is 5′ 6″ tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a white shirt with orange stripes, white shorts and red Nike shoes.

Montgomery County investigators are coordinating with law enforcement in the District of Columbia. Police and family are concerned for Samly Keosiphanseang’s welfare and are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call 9-1-1.
