Washington D.C. Mother's Day Weekend Weather: Sunny Day For Brunch

WASHINGTON, DC -- The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, in effect until Saturday morning. Until 6 a.m. on Saturday, the service warns, coastal flooding is possible, with the water level up to a foot-and-a-half over normal.

This Mother's Day weekend, rain dominates the weather forecast. Friday afternoon, it will rain, with a light easterly wind under 10 miles per hour.

If you are travelling this weekend, know that Saturday will see lots of rain throughout most of the day and dry up at night. The clouds will start to clear up into the night.

Sunday's weather will make for a pleasant Mother's Day brunch, with the weekend rain clearing up for Sunday morning. The precipitation may come back, though, in the early afternoon with a chance of rain at 20 percent.
