Fatal Stabbing Of Northeast Woman Determined To Be Domestic In Nature: DC Police

WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. homicide detectives charged Carl Jones, 44, of Northeast in the fatal stabbing of 39-year-old Ladonia Boggs of Northeast early Wednesday morning in the Carver/Langston area of the city, according to police.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District found Boggs suffering from a stab wound inside a residence in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast. They had been called there for the report of a stabbing.

Emergency medical personnel examined Boggs and determined that she had died. They later transported her to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Later that day, Jones was arrested by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. He was charged with second degree murder while armed.

Through their investigation, detectives established that the homicide was domestic in nature, according to the release.
