New Gay-Owned Brewery Moving Into DC: Report
Red Bear Brewing reportedly is opening a brewery in NoMa.

WASHINGTON, DC -- A new brewery is opening in D.C.'s NoMa neighborhood soon, and it's got a little twist: it's the District's first 100 percent gay-owned brewery.
DCist reports that Red Bear Brewing Company, opening in February, will serve West Coast-style beers on 24 tap lines in a space next to REI and La Colombe at 209 M St. NE.
Denizens Brewing Company in Silver Spring is LGBTQ majority-owned, but this would be the first D.C.-area brewery fully owned by LGBTQ individuals.

Cameron Raspet, Bryan Van Den Oever, and Simon Bee are the owners. The Red Bear Brewing Company name comes from both the Northwest roots of the group, as well as the fact that they are "red-haired, bearded guys," according to DCist.
