New Quantico Neighborhood Takes Lower-Level Design to New Heights
Residential homebuilder offers lower-level, high-ceiling designs - home theater, library, wine cellar, basketball court. Weekend Open House!
New residential neighborhood, Windsor Hill by Stanley Martin, has just opened its first model home featuring lower-level living options most homebuyers have only imagined. Of the 26 planned homesites, 11 homes will be built with a “dropped” recreation room (i.e., exceptionally tall ceilings on the home’s lower level) – allowing owners to explore soaring custom-designs, such as a home theater, library or wine cellar.
“A ‘dropped’ lower level requires a downhill homesite to create a 14-foot lower-level ceiling [compared to the average lower-level ceiling height of eight to nine feet],” says Michael Barrett, Regional President-Metro D.C. for Stanley Martin Homes. “In this case, 11 homes within the Windsor Hill enclave can be built with such an expansive option.”
To showcase its versatility, the model home features a regulation-height basketball hoop in the lower-level.
