All northbound lanes of DC-295 reopened to traffic after being closed due to a shooting investigation on Wednesday afternoon.
WASHINGTON, DC — All northbound lanes of DC-295 reopened to traffic around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, according to a post on Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination Program's official Twitter account.
Police had closed the northbound lanes of DC-295 near East Capitol Street due to a shooting investigation, according to reports.
NBC4 reported that a man was shot in the northbound lanes of DC-295 on Wednesday afternoon. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries, according NBC4.
