DC Homicide Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting Of Northeast Man In Deanwood On Monday

D.C. homicide detectives are looking for the persons responsible for fatally shooting 22-year-old Kinnon Abdullah of Northeast on Monday.

WASHINGTON, DC — Kinnon Abdullah, 22, of Northeast died from injuries he received in a shooting incident that occurred Monday afternoon in the Deanwood neighborhood, according to a police release,

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District were called around 3:25 p.m., to the 5200 block of Just Street, Northeast for the report of a shooting. They found Abdullah unconscious, not breathing and suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police.

After examining Abdullah, D.C. Fire and EMS determined that he had died. They later took his body to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
