Northeast Man Charged In Connection With Armed Carjacking: Police

On Monday, 19-year-old Jahiem Foster was arrested and charged with armed carjacking in connection with a June 19 incident in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC — The Metropolitan Police Department charged a 19-year-old man on Monday with armed carjacking in connection with an incident that occurred on June 19 in Northeast D.C.

At about 5:25 a.m. on June 19, two suspects approached a victim in the 2500 block of Benning Road Northeast, according to the MPD. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and the other suspect demanded the victim's vehicle keys.

The suspects took the keys and then fled the scene in the victim's car.

On Monday, 19-year-old Jahiem Foster of Northeast D.C. was arrested and charged with armed carjacking. The MPD did not say what role Foster played in the armed carjacking. The other suspect has not been located.
