Northeast Man Charged In Benning Area Stabbing: Police Report

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department arrested Kevin Boyd, 29, of Northeast in connection with a stabbing that occurred Nov. 5 in the Benning area, according to a police release.

Police say that the Boyd and the victim were involved in a verbal dispute around 11:33 p.m., in the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue, N.E., when Boyd stabbed the victim with a knife. Boyd fled the scene and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant Tuesday, detectives arrested Boyd and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon (knife).
