Northeast Man Dies Of Gunshot Wound: Police Report

D.C. Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a Northeast man Monday in the Langston/Carver neighborhood.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a D.C. man in the Langston/Carver area, according to a police report.

On Monday, Feb 17, around 5:27 p.m., officers from the Fifth District responded to the report of an unconscious male at a residence in the 2100 block of I Street, N.E. Arriving at the residence, the officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS examined the victim and found no signs of life. The decedent, identified as Cordaro Pierre Chambers, 31, of Northeast, was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

After examining the scene, investigators determined the shooting had taken place inside the residence.
