Northwest Man, 66, Dies After Being Struck By Car On Sunday Night
A 66-year-old Northwest man was struck by a car as he was crossing Connecticut Avenue Sunday night in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of D.C.
WASHINGTON, DC — Clinton Covington, 66, of Northwest died from injuries he received while crossing Connecticut Avenue, Northwest and being struck by a car Sunday night in the Chevy Chase neighborhood in the District, according to a police release.
Covington was struck around 9:48 p.m. by a Toyota Prius that was traveling southbound in the 5300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest, according to police.
D.C. Fire and EMS took Covington to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
