Northwest Man Charged In Armed Robbery Of TD Bank
Metropolitan Police Department officers charged a Northwest man, who they say robbed a TD Bank Monday at knifepoint.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division of the Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Edwin Sanchez, 37, of Northwest, in connection with the armed robbery of a D.C. bank Monday afternoon, according to a police release.
Police say that Sanchez entered the TD Bank in the 2000 block of K Street, N.W., brandished a knife, and demanded money. After the teller complied, Sanchez left the bank but was then apprehended by officers responding to the scene.
MPD arrested Sanchez and charged him with armed robbery.
