19-Year-Old Man Dies After His Motorcycle Crashes Into A Van Near Howard University.

A 29-year-old Man was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van Wednesday evening near Howard University.

WASHINGTON, DC — Michael Thomas, 29, of Northwest, D.C. died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a van Wednesday evening near Howard University.

Thomas was heading west, around 5:23 p.m., on Howard Place, Northwest, when a 2008 Toyota Sienna Van that was traveling southbound on Georgia Avenue, Northwest turned left onto Howard Place, according to the Metropolitan Police Department's Major Crash Investigations Unit.

Thomas' 2019 Yamaha motorcycle then crashed into the van at a high rate of speed, according to police.

Thomas was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he later died from his injuries.
