The Obamas Will Rent This Huge Mansion in DC

The First Family has settled on the Kalorama neighborhood in Northwest once the president leaves office in January.

Earlier this week, news broke that the Obamas had chosen the Kalorama neighborhood as their place of residence after the president leaves office in January, and a new report now says we know exactly in which house he'll live.

The Obamas have chosen the 8,200-square-foot mansion pictured above as their temporary abode when they depart the White House, according to a Politico report.

The mansion is owned by Joe Lockhart and Giovanna Gray, who are moving to Manhattan after Lockhart accepted a job with the NFL as executive vice president of communications, according to the report. Gray is an editor for Glamour magazine.

The home, which was built in 1928, has nine bedrooms and eight-and-a-half baths, and was last sold in May 2014 for a staggering $5.3 million.

President Obama announced a while ago that he and his family would stay in Washington for a few years instead of heading straight back to Chicago so the family wouldn't have to pull the youngest daughter, Sasha, out of high school before she could graduate.
