Ovechkin's Epic Beer-Drenched DC Adventure: The Highlights

Alexander Ovechkin returned to D.C. after the Washington Capitals claimed the Stanley Cup, and Saturday will go down in D.C. sports lore.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Every Washington Capitals fan knew that Alexander Ovechkin was a partier, and he desperately wanted the Stanley Cup. And those two attributes combined in an explosive way on Saturday when Ovi returned to D.C. with the Cup after a Game 5 series-clinching win over the Las Vegas Golden Knights to claim the first franchise championship in its 44-year history.

Ovechkin swung by the Washington Nationals game to throw out the first pitch and then joined his teammates in crashing D.C. -- Georgetown in particular -- with an epic all-day party that will not soon be forgotten in the D.C. area. Here are the top five highlights from the day.
