Pedestrian Shot in DC After Traffic Dispute Turns Violent: Report
The shooting happened in the Franklin Square area in downtown D.C.
WASHINGTON, DC — A pedestrian has been shot early Monday morning in the Franklin Square area of downtown D.C. after he reportedly got into an argument with a driver who allegedly struck him with his car.
D.C. Police announced on Twitter just before 3 a.m. that the 1000-1100 blocks of 13th Street NW and the 1200-1300 blocks of L Street NW had been shut down for a police investigation. The Washington Post reports that the investigation stems from a dispute between a driver and a pedestrian after the driver sped by the man and clipped him with his car's mirror.
When the pedestrian confronted the driver, he was shot in the arm, according to the report.
