Firefighters Make Daring Rescue of Elderly Woman from Burning Home in DC
Firefighters reportedly have knocked down a fire and have pulled at least one person unconscious from a building.

WASHINGTON, DC — An elderly woman was pulled from a burning home in Southeast and taken to the hospital in serious condition thanks to the actions of D.C. firefighters, according to D.C. Fire and EMS.
Firefighters responded to a blaze in the 800 block of Xenia Place SE, and were able to rescue an elderly woman from a second floor bedroom.
The patient was conscious and alert when she was transported from the home, contrary to reports that a person had been pulled from the house unconscious. There are no reports of any other injuries.
