Petworth Stabbing Suspect Arrested By DC Police

Metropolitan Police Department officers responding to a Wednesday morning stabbing in Petworth tracked down and arrested a suspect.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a suspect in connection with a Wednesday morning stabbing incident in the Petworth area, according to a police release.

On Feb. 5, around 12:08 a.m., a citizen flagged down members of MPD's Fourth District in reference to a stabbing in the 3600 block of 14th Street, N.W. Officers found a male victim suffering from a non-life threatening laceration. The responding officers tracked down and arrested the suspect.

Police charged Larue Cunningham, 52, of no fixed address, with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
