Photo: Person Of Interest Sought In Sexual Abuse Incident In Northeast DC

Police are asking the public's help in identifying a person of interest wanted in connection with a sexual abuse incident in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police released a surveillance photo of a person of interest wanted in connection with a misdemeanor sexual abuse offense that occurred early Friday evening in the Stanton Park area, according to a police release.

Police say the man in the photo approached the victim around 5:15 p.m., in the unit block of Ninth Street, Northeast, and engaged in unwanted sexual contact. The man then fled.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photo or has information about this incident is asked to call police at 202-27-9099 or text your tip to the Metropolitan Police Department at 50411.
