Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has required all residents to wear masks to shop for vital necessities at our grocery stores such a Ahold NV owned Giant Foods in Brentwood in the northeast DC.
However, medical masks cannot be found anywhere, even CVS Health (NYSE: CVS) CVS stores.
CVS has a near monopoly of the DC market and this shortage (many have not sold medical masks to the public in over two months) is inexplicable considering the company acquired the giant Hartford, CT-based Aetna in a USD 69bn merger.
If an independent pharmacy such as Preston's Pharmacy in Arlington, VA can stock masks and hand sanitizers, than CVS Health President and CEO Larry J. Merlo should be able to source such a basic commodity as simple medical masks to the nation's capital.
While CVS has only begun supplying their stores, Taiwan-based charity Buddhdist Tzu Chi Foundation have already donated masks to Washington, DC government earmarked for those at need in Northeast and Southeast DC, Tzu Chi Executive Director Frank Chen said.

In fact, former Aetna chairmen and CEOs such as Mark T. Bertolini and Ron Williams had been leaders in delivering healthcare insurance solutions to the African-American community.
We are all proud of the DC National Guard under your command. They represent the best sons and daughters of our great city.
We thank you for your help on this Easter holiday.
