Presidents' Day Weekend Metro Schedule: Limited Bus Service, More

If you're taking the Metro Presidents' Day weekend, you should plan accordingly.

WASHINGTON, DC — There are plenty of things to do and see in the D.C. area this weekend — including the Galactic ft. Erica Falls concert, the George Washington Birthday Parade, Curling & Cocktails at The Wharf, and Disney on Ice: World of Enchantment.

If you're thinking of taking the Metro on Saturday, Feb. 16, Sunday, Feb. 17, or Monday, Feb. 18, you should plan accordingly. Service changes might cause some delays. Here's everything you need to know before heading out for the weekend:

From 9:15 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, Red Line trains will operate every 9 minutes between Shady Grove and Takoma Park, and every 18 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont. In addition, trains will single-track between Silver Spring and Wheaton.

From 9:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Sunday, trains will run every 8 minutes between Shady Grove and Silver Spring, and every 15 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont. Trails will also single-track between Forest Glen and Glenmont. On Presidents' Day, trains will operate on a Saturday schedule.

From Saturday to Monday, Orange Line trains will run every 20 minutes.

From Saturday to Monday, Silver Line trains will run every 20 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and New Carrollton. Riders traveling to and from Benning Road, Capitol Heights, Addison Road, Morgan Boulevard, and Largo Town Center should take the Blue Line to get to their destination.

From Saturday to Monday, Blue Line trains will operate every 20 minutes and will single-track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road.

From Saturday to Monday, Yellow Line trains will run on a regular weekend schedule between Huntington and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Riders traveling to and from stations north of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport should take the Blue Line to get to their destination. There will also be limited bus service between Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and L'Enfant Plaza from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

From Saturday to Monday, Green Line trains will run every 18 minutes. The last train will leave Branch Avenue and subsequent stations 9 minutes ahead of schedule. Due to rail work, trains will single-track between L'Enfant Plaza and Mt. Vernon Square.
