Redskins Kneel During Anthem: How Fans Reacted

Trump's clash with the NFL dominated headlines on Sunday. How did Redskins fans respond to the decision of many players to kneel?

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- It was no ordinary Sunday on Week 3 of the 2017 NFL season. President Trump's inflammatory comments at a rally calling for players who kneel during the anthem to be fired resulted in widespread protests by players, many of whom kneeled during the anthem while others locked arms, including some owners. None of the owners kneeled, however.

The Redskins had a particularly large audience for their game, as they were at home for the featured Sunday Night Football matchup broadcast nationwide on NBC. Many Redskins players, and Raiders as well, followed suit with their colleagues and kneeled during the anthem. Like in the other games, some players locked arms, and owner Dan Snyder joined them for that.

So how did Redskins fans react? Not surprisingly, they had a wide range of emotions, a few of which are featured below.
