DC Primary Election Results 2020: Polls Close

In-person voting for the D.C. primary wrapped up at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Here are the latest results.

Update Thursday, June 3, 10 a.m.: Final results from D.C. Board of Elections.

WASHINGTON, DC — Voting centers that were set to close at 8 p.m. Tuesday remained open hours later due to long lines at the polls during the D.C. primary. The D.C. Board of Elections made the decision in April to close all 144 voting precincts to stem the spread of COVID-19, the illness associated with the new coronavirus.

Although voters were encouraged to vote via mail-in ballots to prevent the spread of the virus, in-person voting at 22 polling places drew thousands, according to the Board of Elections.
