A-Rod Tries to Catch a Cab in DC [PHOTO]

The slugging former New York Yankee was in town for a business trip, and he admits he doesn't have access to Uber.

WASHINGTON, DC — One of the greatest sluggers in baseball history was in D.C. trying to hail a cab on a rainy day recently. And in the process, Alex Rodriguez revealed a lot about how behind the times he is when it comes to technology.

The newly retired shortstop and third baseman -- who currently sits at fourth on the all-time home run list behind Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds with 696 home runs -- did not explain what the nature of his business trip was in D.C., but did say why he was trying to hail a cab the old-fashioned way rather than call an Uber: he's got a Blackberry.

"Trying hail a cab in the nation's capital. #NoUberOnBlackberry #OneDayBizTrip #OldSchool," he wrote on his official Twitter account with an accompanying picture, as you can see below.
