Saks 5th Avenue Outlet Opens in Downtown DC This Week

Saks 5th Avenue - Off 5th will be opening in the Thurman Arnold Building.

WASHINGTON, DC — Shopaholics rejoice: Saks 5th Avenue is opening up a new location right here in downtown D.C. this week. Saks 5th Avenue - Off 5th is opening in the Thurman Arnold Building at 555 12th Street NW on Thursday, Sept. 22.

This 33,000-square-foot, two-level store will feature more than 800 brands and a selection of luxury designers, according to a statement.

“We’re thrilled to open in the nation’s capital and bring our ‘thrill-of-the-hunt’ experience to D.C. shoppers,” Jonathan Greller, President, Saks OFF 5TH and Gilt, said in the statement. “We believe strongly in this market – this opening comes on the heels of our new Fairfax and Springfield, VA locations, and we have two additional stores in the region opening next month.”

The first 200 shoppers at Thursday's grand opening will get a "sweet treat that may contain a golden ticket," which can be exchanged for a $100 gift card at the store.
