Second Arrest Made In Fatal DC Shooting

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, police arrested 19 year-old Martinez Raynor. He is charged with first-degree murder while armed.​

WASHINGTON, DC - A second person is behind bars and charged with the shooting death of a DC teenager.

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, police arrested 19 year-old Martinez Raynor. He is charged with first-degree murder while armed.

On Oct. 20, 2018 around 1:57 p.m., police said they responded to the 3500-block of Wheeler Rd. SE in reference to a shooting. After arriving on scene, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

Police identified the shooting victim as 19-year-old Malik McCloud of Southeast DC.

On Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, police also arrested a 26 year-old adult male of Capital Heights, MD. He was charged with first-degree murder while armed.
