Second Arrest Made In Triple Shooting That Left One Person Dead

Terell Kevonte Blackman, 25, of northwest DC​ is charged with first-degree murder while armed.

WASHINGTON, DC - Another man is behind bars and charged in connection with a triple shooting that left one person dead. Terell Kevonte Blackman, 25, of northwest DC is charged with first-degree murder while armed (premeditated).

Around 10:50 a.m. on Nov. 29, 2019, police said they responded to the 3000 block of 30th Street SE after hearing gunshots. Once on scene, officers said they located a man and woman suffering from bullet wounds.

A short time later, police said they located another man at a nearby fire station also suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services found that this victim "displayed no signs consistent with life."The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The other two victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police identified the third victim killed in the shooting as 28 year-old Michael Cunningham of Northeast DC.

On Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, a 25 year-old man of southeast DC was arrested and charged with first-degree murder while armed as well as assault with a dangerous weapon. Blackman is the second person to be charged in this case.
