Secret Service Arrest Another White House Invader: Report
An individual tried to jump a temporary bike rack at the south fence Tuesday afternoon, authorities say.

An individual allegedly attempted to jump over a White House bike rack and was arrested by the Secret Service yesterday, the latest in a string of attempted security breaches at the White House.
The Secret Service detained an individual -- who it did not identify nor specify a gender -- just after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday after the person tried to jump a temporary bike rack at the south fence of the White House, according to a CNN report quoting from a Secret Service statement.
President Barack Obama was not at home at the time; his family is in Cuba for a historic trip there.

A freelance photojournalist reported on Twitter that 17th Street access to the White House had been blocked as police investigated the incident. Authorities remained on the scene for a full hour after the arrest, he said.
The White House has been plagued in recent years by people attempting to jump over the fence, with some successfully invading White House grounds, leading to the resignation of Secret Service Director Julia Pierson in 2014.
