Sexual Abuse, Armed Kidnapping Charges File Against Southeast Man
D.C. detectives arrested a Southeast man in connection with a Wednesday afternoon kidnapping and sexual abuse incident.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit of the Metropolitan Police Department made an arrest in connection with a sexual assault and armed kidnapping that occurred Wednesday in Southeast, according to a police release.
Police say that around 3:53 p.m., a man pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded they get inside his vehicle. He then drove the victim to a residence in the 1500 block of Young Street, Southeast. Once inside, the man sexually assaulted the victim.
Responding officers apprehended the man and recovered a firearm.

Police arrested Mordecai Jones, 62, of Southeast, and charged him with third-degree sexual abuse and kidnapping while armed.
