Sexual Abuse, Kidnapping Suspect Arrested By DC Police
D.C. Police arrested a Northwest man in connection with a sexual abuse and kidnapping incident that took place in University Heights.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit arrested a suspect in connection with a sexual abuse and armed kidnapping incident that occurred Wednesday night in University Heights, according to a police report.
Around 11 p.m., police said the suspect engaged the victim in a conversation in the 3900 block of 12th Street, N.E., then forced the victim inside a nearby structure. Armed with a knife, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim, who was able to flee the scene and notify police, officials said.
MPD arrested Tyrone Marshall, 40, of Northwest, Thursday, and charged him with first-degree sexual abuse and kidnapping while armed.
