Sexual Abuse Suspect Photo Released By DC Police

D.C. Police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with an Aug. 17 sexual abuse offense in the Eckington area.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit of the Metropolitan Police Department are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with a third-degree sexual abuse offense that occurred Aug. 17, in the Eckington area, according to a police release.

Around 11:20 a.m., the suspect approached a female victim in the 600 block of W Street, N.E., and engaged in unwanted sexual contact with her while using force.

MPD described the suspect as a Black man, standing about 5-f0ot-5, and wearing a hooded jacket. Police released a photo of the suspect.
