Sexual Abuse Suspect Sought In Bellvue Robbery: Police

D.C. Police are seeking the public's help in locating a suspect in connection with a Wednesday morning robbery and sexual abuse case.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit of the Metropolitan Police Department are asking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a sexual abuse and robbery incident that occurred early Wednesday in Bellvue, according to a police release.

Police say a suspect approached a female victim around 3:10 a.m., in the 1500 block of First Street, S.E., physically assaulted her, and then took her property by force. The suspect then tried to to sexually assault the victim, before fleeing the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a Black man, between 23-27, with a skinny build, medium skin complexion, and standing 6-foot to 6-foot-1 in height. He also had a short dreadlock hairstyle and a light beard. He was wearing a black shirt and blue pants.
