Sexual Acts on Metro Train, Bus Committed by Same Man, Metro Says
A D.C. man was arrested twice in two days this week for performing some disturbing sexual acts on the Silver Line and a Metro bus.

WASHINGTON, DC — Metro Transit Police arrested a D.C. man on charges of touching himself inappropriately on a Silver Line train on Monday, and then arrested him the next day for the same thing on a Metro bus Tuesday morning.
Police arrested 27-year-old Alex Thomas-Dorsey at around 8:45 p.m. on Monday after he was "observed masturbating on a Silver Line train between Metro Center and L'Enfant Plaza," according to a report from WMATA. A passenger pointed out the man to Metro Transit Police when the train arrived at L'Enfant Plaza. Thomas-Dorsey was cited and released.
The very next morning at around 8:15 a.m., Thomas-Dorsey boarded a Metro bus on the B2 route in Southeast D.C., and began masturbating again in the 2000 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue SE.

"The actions took place in front of other passengers, including at least one juvenile," the report states. "When a passenger notified the bus operator of the suspect's actions, he exited the bus and fled the scene."
After retrieving digital video footage of the camera system on the bus, police recognized Thomas-Dorsey from the previous day, and arrested him at his place of employment Tuesday night.

"Indecent exposure offenses are considered a misdemeanor in the District of Columbia," the report states. "Despite this, MTPD devotes significant time and resources to fully investigating all reports of indecent exposure for the safety and security of all Metro riders. In addition, police believe that so-called "minor" offenses can escalate to even more serious crimes."
