Sexual Assault, Burglary Near Howard University: Police Arrest 2
DC Police detectives arrested two suspects in connection with a sexual assault and burglary offense near Howard University Friday.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested two suspects in connection with a Burglary One and First Degree Sexual Abuse offense that took place early Friday morning near Howard University, according to a police release. Police are continuing to search for additional suspects.
On Friday, Feb. 7, around 2:56 a.m., suspects entered a residence in the 700 block of Girard Street, Northwest and sexually assaulted an adult female victim. After taking property, the suspects fled the scene in the victim's vehicle, which was later recovered.
Police arrested two juvenile males — one 14, the other 16 — Friday and charged them with Burglary One and Theft One. The case remains under investigation as additional suspects are being sought.
