Updated With Video: Sexual Assault Suspect Sought In Southeast
D.C. Police are asking the public's help in identifying a sexual assault suspect caught on a surveillance camera.
Updated (Sept. 4, 10:30 p.m.): Updated with surveillance video of the suspect wanted in connection with the Wednesday morning sexual abuse offense in Congress Heights.
WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit of the Metropolitan Police Department are asking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a misdemeanor sexual abuse offense that took place Wednesday morning in Congress Heights, according to a police release.
Around 10:45 a.m., the suspect approached the female victim in the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue, S.E. He engaged in unwanted sexual contact with the victim and then fled.

Crime Solvers of Washington, D.C., is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and indictment of individuals responsible for any crime committed in the District.
