Silver Spring Man Charged In Child Sex-Trafficking Incident

D.C. Police arrested a Silver Spring man Wednesday in connection with a child sex trafficking incident in the District.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from the Youth and Family Services Division – Internet Crimes Against Children Branch of the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a Silver Spring, Maryland, man Wednesday in connection with sex trafficking of child incident, according to a police release.

Police report that the suspect traveled to the District around 6:44 p.m., after he had arranged to pay for a sexual act with a child. Responding officers arrested the suspect, identified as Alejandro Lopez, 23, of Silver Spring, without incident. They then charged him with sex trafficking of children.
