Some Federal Employees Are Watching Tons Of Porn: Report
Despite the egregious nature of the behavior, many of the worst offenders reportedly get a slap on the wrist.
It's kind of shocking to think of someone actually watching pornography at work, and yet a recent report says that many federal workers do it all the time — and in some cases for hours every day.
A News4 I-Team investigation found that nearly 100 federal government employees have either admitted to or have been caught viewing porn on the job in the past five years, and that's just for the most egregious offenders — some of whom spent six hours per day on illicit images and videos. Some also kept thousands of adult images on their work computers.
The report is based on records of cases of "egregious on-the-job pornography viewing" at 12 government agencies, including the Department of Justice, U.S. Postal Service, NASA and the Social Security Administration.

And the penalties aren't that severe. The report notes that one employee who was caught watching porn at a work terminal only received a five-day suspension — and sometimes, they only receive a written reprimand.
