Some Guy Wrote A Song For Every Metro Station - Yes, Really

Jason Mendelson of Alexandria reportedly has written 91 tracks over eight albums in a project that has taken six and a half years.

WASHINGTON, DC — Writing a song inspired by a Metro station is an interesting enough prospect in and of itself. Writing a song about all 91 of them is downright crazy. But that's what one Alexandria man is doing.

Local musician Jason Mendelson, 38, has released a number of albums online with each song dedicated to an individual Metro station. They aren't necessarily about the Metro station itself, but Mendelson often makes local references relevant to that station in the song.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Mendelson says he's spent six and a half years writing songs about each Metro station, ultimately composing eight albums and 91 tracks.
