D.C. Fire and EMS is investigating after reports of a sound of an explosion in Northeast.

WASHINGTON, DC -- D.C. Fire and EMS has launched an investigation after reports of something that sounded like an explosion in Northeast, according to a report.
WUSA 9 reports that the incident happened in the 2000 block of M Street and Maryland Avenue, prompting the closure of the street for a brief period on Monday. That area is just outside the National Arboretum.
No one was injured and there were no evacuations, and the investigation continues.
