DC Homicide Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting Of Southeast Man On Saturday

D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Darron Holmes of southeast on Saturday morning.

WASHINGTON, DC — Darron Holmes, 28, of Southeast was fatally shot Saturday morning near the United Medical Center in the Washington Highlands, according to a police release.

Responding for the report of a shooting, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District found Holmes around 10:44 a.m. in the 1200 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast. He was unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds.

D.C. Fire and EMS medical personnel examined Holmes and determined that he had died. They later transported his body to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for a homicide in the District.
