Southeast Man Accused In July 1 Fatal Shooting In Fairlawn

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a Southeast man Thursday in connection with the July 1 fatal shooting of Kelvin Goggins, 18, of Southeast, according to a police report.

Around 1:22 p.m., Sixth District officers responded for the report of a shooting in the 1800 block of Q Street, S.E. They found an Goggins suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS took the victim to an area hospital for treatment, but all life-saving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead.

Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, MPD arrested Dohn Harmon, 21, of Southeast on Thursday. They charged him with first degree murder while armed (premeditated).
