Southeast Man Charged In April 3 Homicide Of MD Man: Police
D.C. Police detectives arrested a Southeast man Sunday in connection with the fatal shooting of a Clinton, Maryland man in April.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a Southeast man Sunday in connection with the April 3 fatal shooting of David Deandre Young, 28, of Clinton, Maryland, according to a police release.
Officers from the Seventh District responded around 6:50 p.m., on April 3, to the report of a shooting in the 3400 block of 22nd Street, S.E. When they arrived, they found a Young suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS transported him to a nearby hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed and the he was pronounced dead. Officers also located a young male victim at a local hospital receiving treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant Sunday, MPD officers arrested Wesley Scott, 20, of Southeast, and charged him with first degree murder while Armed. This case remains under investigation.
