Southeast Man Charged In Child Sex Abuse Case: Police

D.C. Police arrested a Southeast man in connection with a child sex abuse incident that occurred Friday night in the Washington Highlands.

WASHINGTON, DC — Detectives from Youth and Family Services Division Physical and Sexual Abuse Branch of the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a man in connection with a child sex abuse offense that took place Friday night in the Washington Highlands, according to a police release.

Around 9:56 p.m., the suspect inappropriately touched the female victim in the 4300 block of Wheeler Road, S.E., and then fled the scene, according to police. MPD officers later apprehended the suspect.

Detectives arrested Nicolas Bowman, 26, of Southeast, and charged him with second-degree child sexual abuse.
