Southeast Man Charged In Fort Totten Armed Carjacking: Police
Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a Southeast man Tuesday in connection with a Sept. 27 armed carjacking near Fort Totten.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives from the Fourth District arrested a Southeast man Tuesday in connection with the Sept. 27 armed carjacking near Fort Totten, according to a police release.
An investigation revealed the suspects approached the victim around 3:43 p.m., in the unit block of Kennedy St., N.E. Brandishing handguns, the suspects demanded the victim's vehicle and property. After the victim complied, the suspects left the scene in the victim's vehicle.
Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, police arrested Jamal Hunter, 21, of Southeast, and charged him with armed carjacking (gun). MPD is continuing to investigate this case.

MPD is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for a violent crime in the District.
