Southeast Man Faces Murder Charge In May 4 Fatal Shooting In Anacostia
D.C. homicide detectives charged a suspect in the May 4 fatal shooting of 24-year-old Davon Sullivan of Southeast.

WASHINGTON, DC — Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested a Southeast man Tuesday in connection with the May 4 fatal shooting of 24-year-old Davon Sullivan of Southeast, according to a police release.
Acting on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, officers arrested 31-year-old Raheem Gafari and charged him with first degree murder while armed.
MPD officers from the Seventh District found Sullivan around 3:39 p.m., on May 4, in the 2300 block of Green Street, Southeast. He was unconscious, unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds.

D.C. Fire and EMS personnel examined Sullivan and determined that he had died.
