A Metrobus somehow ended up completely off the road and resting on top of a brick wall after being struck by a car in Northwest Monday morning.
The accident happened near the intersection of 16th and Underwood in the Brightwood neighborhood along Rock Creek Park. The bus was one of the extended versions, and the vehicle struck the "accordion" of the bus, according to various media reports.
This caused the bus to jump the curb, strike a tree and then land on top of a brick wall. There were 13 people on the bus, and fortunately none of them were injured.
