Students from School Attended by Obama's Daughters Protest at Trump Hotel in DC (Video)

High schoolers from around the D.C. area converged on the Trump International Hotel on Tuesday to protest the president-elect.

WASHINGTON, DC — High school students from D.C. and Maryland swarmed the Trump International Hotel in downtown D.C. Tuesday to protest President-elect Donald Trump, and among them were students from Sidwell Friends, a school attended by President Obama's daughters, Sasha and Malia.

There is no indication that either of them were in attendance, but it does add a new dynamic to the near-constant protests in D.C. since Trump's Election Day upset over Hillary Clinton on Nov. 8. NBC 4 confirmed that Sidwell Friends students were in attendance, and WTOP posted brief video on Twitter of them marching with signs.

In addition to students from Sidwell Friends, there were students from Benjamin Banneker Academic High School and Woodrow Wilson High School, according to reports.

Students chanted slogans outside of the newly opened luxury hotel, which has become a meeting point of sorts of protesters in the city. Many more protests are planned, with huge gatherings planned for Inauguration Day on Jan. 20.

Sidwell Friends is an elite private school in Bethesda, Maryland, and D.C. The children and grandchildren of many notable politicians have been educated there, including those of Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Richard Nixon and Theodore Roosevelt.
