Stunning Video: DC Cops Drag Man Out of Burning Car

A man owes his life to police officers who acted quickly to smash the window of his burning car and pull him to safety.

WASHINGTON, DC — Two Metropolitan Police Department officers rescued a man from a burning car recently, and it was all caught on video.

The MPD praised the two officers from the 5th District for rescuing the driver, who seemed barely conscious in the video and needed help to get out of the car. The first officer had to smash the window and unbuckle his seat belt before dragging him out onto the road with help from others as the car filled with smoke.

You can watch the remarkable footage below, which was posted on the MPD's official Twitter account.
