Suspect In 1 Stabbing, 2 Burglaries Arrested By DC Police
D.C. Police charged a Southeast man in connection with three recent incidents in the First District, a stabbing and two burglaries.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives have charged a suspect in connection with three recent incidents that occurred in the First District, a stabbing and two burglaries, according to a police release.
In the first incident, the victim was walking in the L’Enfant Promenade, Southwest, on Tuesday, March 17, around 7:57 p.m., when the suspect approached him. After brandishing a knife, the suspect stabbed the victim and fled the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The next two incidents took place early on Wednesday, March 18. In the first, the suspect forcibly entered a building in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northeast, at around 1:40 a.m. The suspect took property from the establishment and fled the scene. At around 2 a.m., the suspect forced entry into another establishment and took property, before fleeing the scene.

MPD arrested David Randolph, 20, of Southeast, and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon (knife) and two counts of burglary two.
