Suspect Arrested In 2012 Sexual Abuse, Kidnapping Case
D.C. Police detectives arrested a suspect Tuesday in connection with a 2012 kidnapping and sexual abuse case.
WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police Department detectives arrested a suspect Tuesday in connection with a 2012 first-degree sexual abuse and kidnapping case, according to a police report.
On Sept. 24, 2012, around 10:30 p.m., the female victim was approached by a man who produced a weapon and took her to the unit block of K Street, N.E. After sexually assaulting her, the suspect fled the scene.
Acting on a D.C. Superior Court booking order, MPD detectives took Joseph Evans, 54, of no fixed address, into custody on Feb. 18, 2020, and charged him with first-degree sexual abuse, kidnapping, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
